Officials in Gibsonville have approved a proposal to build nearly 80 townhouses on 14 acres of land on Dew Sharpe Rd. This is south of town and north of Highway 70 and just off Highway 61. The developer says he will market the townhouses to folks looking to downsize. Now, the Gibsonville Board of Aldermen is looking at another proposed development that would cover 170 acres north of Gibsonville, on Highway 61 near County Farm Rd. The developer says he wants to put more than 650 new houses there. That would include more than 400 townhouses and around 240 single family houses.
