If you are thinking this has been a very wet year, you’re right. As it now stands, we are more than 16 inches above where we would normally be this time of year in rainfall. There has been at least 2 inches of rain every month of 2020. That includes more than 7 inches of rain in February, more than 9 inches of rain in May and almost 9 inches of rain in August. All indications are that 2020 will be one of the wettest years since they started keeping numbers. We are already the 9th wettest, and there are still 2 months to go. Just FYI: the wettest year on record was 2018, with 64 inches of rain for the year.
