Alamance County Deputy Hit By Suspect's Car

A Greensboro man has been charged with trying to run down an Alamance County Deputy. They say 39 year old Dean Peters backed over the deputy when lawmen were walking toward his car in the Lowe's Parking lot Friday night. They say he then took off. Alamance County Deputies chased him down the interstate until they reached Guilford County where they stopped. They say Greensboro police then found Peter’s car at an apartment complex there and took him into custody. Here is a partial list of charges he is facing: felony assault on a government official, felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, resisting delaying and obstructing an investigation, hit and run with failure to stop with property damage, driving while license revoked, displaying a fictitious registration plate, reckless driving and speeding. Those are the start of the charges. More could be coming. And that does not count the charges he is facing from Greensboro police.
